Delivery Models

The project execution models are always formulated on a project-to-project basis. While ensuring that the execution models do meet the industry standards, Gausa formulates its execution models based on the nature of the project, domain, engagement, delivery and most of all, the Client requirement. Some of the delivery modules and the common structures followed in these models are illustrated below in the next pages. These include:

  • Offshore Delivery Model
  • Onsite Delivery Model
  • Hybrid Delivery model

Offshore Delivery Model

This model best suits projects with a well-defined 'Project Plan'. We interact on a regular basis with the client to manage the requirements for outsourcing. Interaction takes place through fax, telephone, email, and instant messaging. The client is always up to date with the project status through the Gausa online customer care portal. The online customer portal contains a project tracking system, as well as all the relevant project related information.

While an offshore model is the most cost-effective solution for most clients, the model has an inherent high level of risk. Risk management is therefore a critical success factor. A risk plan document listing risks and contingency plan is setup and maintained to make sure that the project is delivered on time and within budget.

Gausa’s Services are designed to help businesses rapidly set up and run offshore operations in India through expert consultancy, project execution, operation and support. Depending on specific requirements we offer advantages of project execution on an end-to-end turnkey project, a modular approach and program management services.

Onsite Delivery Model

There are times when the project scope is not clearly defined, or the project is open-ended, iterative in nature. For such situations, we prefer to use an Onsite Delivery Model where work is performed onsite. During the assignment the Gausa professionals report to the Onsite Project Manager or the Client Technical Manager.

We provide clients with well-qualified professionals and programmers in relevant domains, and technologies. Our services include requirements capture and technology assessment, creating functional specifications, design, coding, testing, maintenance and support.

Typically the following method is followed in Onsite and Offshore Delivery Models:

Gausa follows a well-planned and structured methodology to execute our projects. The focus starts right from the stage of Requirement Elicitation through post delivery Maintenance and Support as illustrated above.

Hybrid Delivery Model

The Gausa’s Development methodology in a hybrid model allows geographically distributed teams and specialists to work in tandem from multiple locations worldwide, ensuring expertise across global locations with minimal travel as illustrated. It also supports involvement of specialist groups like architects, usability designers, business analysts, quality assurance and process experts from different locations to form a Virtual Team. Hybrid delivery model combines the advantages of onsite and offshore delivery models and offers highly cost effective products and solutions to our clients in shorter time span. In this model the stages are pre-identified and grouped under either the onsite or the offshore delivery model at the beginning of the association or identified and regrouped during the association to achieve the best results.

Proven benefits of this model include non-stop work schedules, time zone advantages, leverage cross-geographical and technology expertise, lower costs, shorter production cycles and quicker scalability (up or down) depending on the requirements.

This model has its own set of challenges including management and administration, cross-cultural communication and management of onsite teams. Our well-documented and tested processes and experience in successfully implementing this model have enabled us to overcome these challenges and establish successful working relationships with global and domestic clients.

Typically the following method is followed in Onsite-Offshore Hybrid Delivery Models:

At Gausa we have a highly experienced management team with proven capabilities in on site-offshore development and delivery. Our understanding of diverse business environments is extensive.

Typically Gausa appoints a dedicated Project Manager for every project notwithstanding the model, who liaises with the Client Technical Project Manager. The details of the model to be adopted, the project and requirements are discussed in detail. The Project Manager then conveys these to the Team Leader who is based offshore. They coordinate and formulate a high level Architecture document and analyze and design the application as well as do a thorough Risk analysis of the project. The Client Technical Project Manager is kept updated on via periodical meetings on phone or video conferencing thus assuring that the project is proceeding according to the Project Plan. The project proceeds methodically, supported at every step by intensive documentation and strict adherence to specified guidelines. Every step of the design, development and delivery processes is vetted by the Quality Analysis Team. . In this manner Gausa endeavors to deliver quality products and services on time.
