Association Models

At Gausa, we have acquired capabilities, global insights and in-depth experience for setting up and operating centers of excellence for software development and delivery. As companies enter India to take advantage of the ongoing off-shoring wave, the vision of an end state could include establishing "Captive", "Joint Venture or Build, Operate and Transfer (BOT) model. These engagements help Clients in reducing risks, variable costs, reducing time to market, reducing capex /operating costs as well as benefiting from cost and performance arbitrage.

Exclusive Offshore Development Centre (ODC)

Under this model, Gausa would set up, operate and manage an exclusive development facility with the hardware and software infrastructure replicated as per requirements. Such Facility will be staffed with highly skilled professionals in the technologies relevant to the nature of projects proposed to be outsourced to us. Gausa would effectively manage these resources for a committed period of time and value. The constitution strength modalities and other matrix are worked out depending on the nature of projects, technologies involved and the committed duration of such arrangement. This model is adopted when our outsourcing partners offer quantified commitments. Gausa is also open to joint venture ODCs culminating in acquisition by outsourcing partners.

Build, Operate and Transfer (BOT)

Build, Operate and Transfer (BOT) relationship is a business model, which allows a client in potentially owning and operating their own offshore development center (ODC) in stages. The staged process allows an organization to evaluate the effectiveness and benefits of owning an ODC before undertaking the risks and costs associated with starting and running their own. The specifics of a BOT model can vary by organization. The size and scope of the offshore effort, timing, and the degree to which the organization wants to own and operate their center versus retaining a partner to provide management and other services are all factors to consider prior to finalizing the agreement.

Through this model, the outsourcing provider helps the client set up the contact centre from start to finish. The association covers establishment of the operation, acquisition of facilities and staff and extends to actually running the centre for a defined period. Once the centre and services are well established, management and ownership is transferred to the customer. This proven service transfer platform is designed to ensure process integrity and minimize inherent migration risks.

Typically the following method is followed in Overseas Development Center Partnership Model:

In the illustrated scenario, Gausa develops a full development center dedicated solely to the Clients needs.

Build: The build phase encompasses development of infrastructure support facilities, process / workflow, resource and knowledge transfer.

Operate: This phase includes us operating the facility for the Client for a minimum period of time typically servicing the Clients offshore needs.

Project Based

Applicable when the services of Gausa India are intended to be utilized for one-time development of an application on pre-determined timeline. In this arrangement an offshore project is considered completed after the application has been accepted and implemented by the outsourcing body. Under this arrangement, Gausa India makes available all the resources required for successful completion of the outsourced project from within its existing resource pool.
